The Drum has learned that contrary to previous reports, Scottish and Southern is not specifically looking to appoint its advertising account to a London agency, but is currently pitching.
The pitch list is understood to include three Scottish based agencies alongside two London-based agencies, although it is not predetermined to move its advertising out of Scotland.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern confirmed: “We have initiated a pitch which involves a range of agencies, including our existing agencies.”
Adam and Eve is thought to be one of the London agencies involved alongside The Gate Worldwide, The Union and Story, which already work with the client and will be unaffected by the eventual appointment.
Mediashop, which handles the media planning and buying for Scottish and Southern is also unaffected.
