The first EP release from Hacienda, the nightclub turned record label, will sport artwork created by Manchester agency Cuckoo.

‘Two Worlds Collide', the debut EP from Freebase, includes contributions from Tim Burgess, Pete Wylie, Howard Marks and Joy Division bassist Peter Hook.

Cuckoo was commissioned by Hook to design the cover for the EP, which has been in development for five years.

The design agency’s creative director, Phil Rainey, played with Hook in one of his former bands, Monaco.

Cuckoo is offering fans the chance to win an exclusive signed print of the artwork, with information being found on its website.

Steve Wheatley, deputy managing director at Cuckoo Design, said: “The EP cover is a gift of a project for any design team and we’ve absolutely loved working on it. It’s been a real privilege to work alongside a music legend like Peter Hook – not to mention a brand as iconic as Hacienda.”
