Tony Stanton, managing director of An Agency Called England is literally selling his arse for charity.

Stanton will next month run the Virgin 2010 London Marathon in aid of a children’s charity which helps children in the UK who are disadvantaged physically, mentally or economically.

He has been training hard - running through the snow and ice brought on by the weather in December and January, and is almost ready for the 26 mile run - except that he has yet to raise his overall target of £5,000.

As a result, Stanton is looking for donations from companies, but will also sell off advertising space on the back of his running shorts to the highest bidder.

Other offers include the chance to appear in a non-speaking part in one of the agency’s future advertising campaigns for £500, Meanwhile, for another £500, Stanton will fly out two people to lunch at the Deconshire Arms near Bolton Abbey by helicopter (lunch not included) and then around the Dales on a sunny day in the Summer wearing a captains uniform. He also says that he will play The Ride of the Valkyries Apocalypse Now style on the stereo for an extra £50.

Anyone interested in taking up any of these ‘unique’ offers and help Stanton raise £5,000 should email him and make their pledges.
