The latest TV commercial for confectionary brand Tunnocks has been produced by Merle.

The campaign for Tunnock’s Teacakes begins to air this week using the message of indulgence, while revealing that each teacake contains only 106 calories, which has led to the biscuit being endorsed by Scottish Slimmers as a treat.

The ad takes place in a contemporary art gallery where a central piece of public art features a Tunnock’s teacake as the focal point, which proves too hard to resist for the browsing art lover.

Fergus Loudon, operations director for Tunnocks, commented: “This was a change from our traditional approach and message. We were taken by the work done by merle on other fmcg products and wanted to see how they would respond to this brief. We like what we got”
