A new TV commercial for Calor Gas has rolled out this week, created by Cogent Elliott and production studio Taylor James.

The 30 second ad entitled ‘Think Tank’ includes 2D and 3D CGI animation from animation company TANDEM to launch the brand’s latest LP Genius system which acts as an alternative to oil mains for rural homes and businesses.

The ad is the first TV ad campaign for the brand in ten years as the company celebrates its 75th anniversary.

Taylor James was commissioned by Cogent Elliott to direct the project, alongside Yoav Segal who directed the animated ad.

Sarah Haythornthwaite, head of marketing at Calor, said: “In our 75th anniversary year we are looking to re-energise the Calor brand. The new advertising campaign will help achieve this by highlighting our technological advances and our environmental credentials to show our relevance to today’s consumers.”
