Having recently completed development for new websites for travel company Megabus in the USA and Canada, digital company Kraya is currently developing a new site for the brand in the UK, alongside Emperor Design.

The new UK site is expected to be similar to the USA site in terms of design and functionality, with Emperor Design handling the front end design. Kraya is involved in development of the back end infrastructure and build, alongside the booking system and routes – similar to the work carried out for the USA and Canadian sites.

The site will mainly see updates to its administration functionality to maintain its pricing structures and manage route and stop information, to access sales and passenger reports.

The UK site is due for completion at the beginning of June.

The Canadian site went live in November, the first time the brand has launched a dedicated site in the country, while the USA site saw its route coverage and size upgraded to cope with an increase in visitors.

The Edinburgh digital development agency has been involved with Megabus since 2003, when it built the brand’s first site.
