Leeds search marketing agency Epiphany Solutions has hired Andy Heaps as director of search from rival agency Latitude.

Heaps, previously head of SEO at Latitude, takes up his new post this week and is the second major switch between the agencies after Epiphany hired Latitude's Rob Shaw as MD in March last year.

At Latitude Heaps was responsible for delivering campaigns for clients including Haven Holidays and Swinton Insurance and at Epiphany he will head up all search production teams covering PPC, SEO and Conversion Rate Optimisation.

Rob Shaw, managing director of Epiphany, said: “Andy is well respected both for his technical knowledge, his vision and leadership; he is a valuable addition to the Epiphany team."

Heaps said he was looking forward to working on Epiphany's growth strategy and "bringing new and innovative ideas to market".

"They have a large and talented production team that has delivered results consistently for their clients and I'm relishing the opportunity to help drive strategy and innovation to help cement their position as market leaders," Heaps said.

Following Shaw's appointment as MD last year the agency secured new business with Ventura, the British Medical Journal and Savills and has hired several new staff.
