The Northwest Development Agency (NWDA) has issued an invitation to tender for Tourism PR support.

The NWDA will appoint an agency to support its tourism marketing activity over the next 12 months, promoting the Northwest as a short break destination with the PR campaign based upon the region’s key strengths of culture and natural environment, with a greater focus on the outdoors during the spring and culture during the autumn when there will be two bursts of marketing activity.

Specific marketing activity has yet to be agreed but will include press, outdoor advertising, mail shots and a targeted publication. PR proposals should reflect these themes.

One of the targets for the successful applicant will be that the total favourable coverage generated over the 12 months should have a minimum media value of £750,000 while an indicative budget of £50,000 to £60,000 has been set.

Tenders should submit clarification questions by 15 March with the tender application being submitted by 19 March.

These will be evaluated from 22 March with a ‘Post Tender Clarification Meeting’ being held on 31 March.
