Dom Rodwell, founder of Flame Digital which went into administration earlier this month, has joined CheethamBell JWT as creative director for digital.
Rodwell was the creative director of Manchester-based Flame and said in a recent statement that the company "had no choice" but to go into administration - which it did on January 8 - after a "challenging 2009".
His quick re-emergence at fellow Manchester agency CheethamBell quashes the suggestion that he would launch a Flame phoenix agency.
Instead Rodwell will now get his hands on a client list that includes First Direct, Magnet, bmibaby.com, John West and the Game Group.
He said the chance to work with such a list of brands was "an opportunity I couldn't refuse".
"Over the coming weeks and months I'll be focusing the team on producing even more cutting-edge work for digital, mobile - and other emerging platforms," Rodwell said.
David Bell, CEO of CheethamBell, added: "Dom’s brief is to build a best-in-class digital team at CBJWT."
