To promote the new George Clooney drama Up in the Air, Rubber Republic has joined forces with the film company’s media agency MediaEdge:CIA to promote the film.

The Bristol-based social media agency has taken four preview clips based around Clooney’s character Ryan Bingham, a ‘corporate downsizer’ shares his philosophies on work, business travel, love and sex.

The pan-European campaign has taken film footage and other online assets to a wide audience which included the release of a video player that hosts all pieces of footage together in a shareable manner.

Kirk Hullis, account director for Rubber Republic, explained: “Our film campaigns are often based around bespoke online content to promote a film. In this case we’re on a different tack, using footage lifted straight from the film to showcase its wit and charm.”

The company has also worked with MediaEdge:CIA and Paramount into promoting movies G.I Joes, Friday 13th, Watchman, Transformers and Monsters V Aliens.
