Online recruitment company MyJobGroup.co.uk has appointed Umpf to provide national PR support as it looks to continue expanding throughout 2010.

The Leeds-based consumer and online PR specialists were appointed following a three-way pitch and will now be responsible for managing a national PR campaign, incorporating social media activity, to promote the 300 local jobsites MyJobGroup.co.uk has in the UK and help the recruiter expand its market share and capitalise on its growth.

Lee Fayer of MyJobGroup.co.uk said of the PR agency: “We were impressed by Umpf’s creativity and the way they demonstrated a clear understanding of our brand and our business objectives.

“What impressed us most about their pitch was the creative approach to the objectives we set – the campaign proposals cleverly mix traditional channels with social media ideas which of course fit well with our online model."

And Umpf owner Adrian Johnson said of the appointment: “Our proposed strategy focussed on the fundamentals to their online business model, namely driving jobseeker CVs and new clients, and we believe the creative approach we presented, using both traditional and online media, will reap rewards for our new client.”
