Retailer Bathstore is today launching a £1.5m January Sale campaign advertising upto 50 percent off its products.

The campaign, which spans television, press, leaflets and POS, was created by Kent agency WFCA, which also handled the media buying.

The 30 second TV ad, voiced by Spooks actress Hermione Norris, breaks today and runs until 3 January. Further 10 second spots will follow during Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason, Gordon Ramsey's F Word, Emmerdale, Ant and Dec's Christmas Show and throughout January.

Press ads will run in national and regional titles including the Times, Metro and Evening Standard. Seven million inserts will run in the Guardian, Mail on Sunday, Radio Times, the Independent, Ideal Home, 25 Beautiful Homes and Elle Decoration.

The campaign will be supported by online activity including a January sale email to Bathstore's customer database, PPC, and an updated online catalogue.

Brian Harris, head of marketing at Bathstore, said: "Our growth and success has attracted many imitators along the way and the sector has never been more competitive."
