Universal McCann Birmingham hires new managing director

McCann Erickson Communications House has appointed Kevin Murphy as managing director of its Universal McCann division in Birmingham.

Murphy joins the company from Mindshare in London and brings with him a wealth of channel planning and media buying experience, implementing successful media campaigns for national accounts, including Tiscali, Capital One, Butlins, The Open University and World Vision.

In his new role, he will now be responsible for managing the company’s media division, and will oversee its portfolio of clients including Lloyds Pharmacy, Coventry Building Society, Advantage West Midlands and Stanley Tools.
