SPT looks to appoint litho, print and digital framework

Scottish Partnership for Transport is seeking to create a framework agreement having issued a tender for litho, digital and security print (ticket) services.

The contract will last three years, with the possibility of a one year extention, with six companies expected to be appointed with the value estimated to range between £100,000 and £300,000.

The tender explains that the framework will produce printed matter and related products, printed books, brochures and leaflets, Postcards, greeting cards and other printed matter. Security-type printed matter, bespoke printed matter, miscellaneous printed matter, photocopying and offset printing equipment, printed stationery except forms, printed envelopes, miscellaneous printed matter, printed matter and related products, printed books, brochures and leaflets, bespoke printed matter, tickets, transport tickets and smart cards.

A Pre Qualifying Questionnaire (PQQ) will be issued to interested parties to ensure that applicants can meet the necessary requirements. Selection for the next stage will be as a result of these PQQ’s.

The framework will be devided into lots:

Lot 1 B1-B2 Litho printing.

Lot 2 B2-B3 Litho printing.

Lot 3 B1-B2 Litho printing (Timetables).

Lot 4 b4 Short run digital printers.

Lot 5 Large Format printers.

Lot 6 Litho Security printers.

Sublot 6a Transport ticket.

Sublot 6b Transport ticket (magnetic stripe & smart card).

Tenders should be submitted for: one or more lots as SPT looks to extend its scope of framework agreements with six lots, each with between three and six providers with printed matter providers allowed to tender for more than one lot.

Mini-tenders or a quotation exercise will be used to appoint each project following the completion of the framework.

Providers will be required to turnaround jobs within five days of the proof being signed off and that they will also be able to deliver some lots to address across the west of Scotland.

The framework Tender Evaluation criteria will be split between quality at 60 % and price at 40 %.
