Weber Shandwick UK has promoted non-executive director Tara Hamilton-Miller to vice chair, public affairs.

Miller will support John McLeod, chairman of the public affairs and corporate communications division and will also continue to provide media relations and advice to clients across the corporate, strategic media and consumer spectrum.

Hamilton-Miller worked for five years in Conservative Central Office’s press office before becoming deputy editor of The Sun newspaper’s political diary, and worked as a political consultant on a number of projects including Live Aid in 2005 and with M&C Saatchi.

She joined Weber Shandwick in 2008 as a non-executive director to advise on political issues.
