Stuart Anderson, joint creative director at Merle is to leave the agency to join The Whole Caboodle for personal reasons.

It is understood that having recently become a father for the first time, Anderson has taken a role which is nearer his family having been unable to complete the move full time to Scotland since joining Merle two years ago.

As a result, John Dean, who joined Merle to rejoin with his former Propaganda creative partner last October, will be sole creative director with immediate effect.

John Morgan, CEO of Merle, commented: “we have enjoyed having Stuart as part of the team but there is nothing so strong as the call of home. We wish Stuart well in his new role. At the same time, we are fortunate in having someone of the calibre of John Dean to take on the principal Creative role and continue the great progress we have seen over the last two years.”

Anderson (left in picture) added: “I’m sad to be leaving merle, but the time was right and I’m safe in the knowledge that, creatively, merle is in the more than capable hands of the talented Mr Dean. The Whole Caboodle was the Holy Grail for me - a top agency in my home town. I’m looking forward to a new creative challenge.”
