WFCA makes senior appointments to media business

WFCA, the Kent-based marketing agency, has appointed Chris Wright and Martin Dewhirst to its media business.

The appointments are the first made by Mark Gallagher, media director who joined the agency in September with the aim of doubling its media business over the next year and a half.

Wright, who joins from Initiative Media after 12 years, where he was strategic planning director, has been appointed to the role of deputy media director who will also oversee media planning. In his previous role he worked with Unileverm Samsung, Cola-Cola and Johnson & Johnson.

Meanwhile, Dewhirst will be head of broadcast having joined from Nestlé’s in-house media team having also works as TV group manager for PHD and at Sky Media as media partner controller.

Gallagher explained: “As an agency which combines an award winning creative offering, properly integrated with a complete media planning and buying facility, we’re in a fantastically strong position to deliver value and business growth to our clients in ways that single-discipline agencies could only dream of.”
