Marketing Leeds has launched an online application which calculates the price-per-wear cost of clothes over their lifetime to promote Leeds Shopping Week.

It says the 'Girl Receipts' tool is "a fun way to promote and interact with shoppers and tourists" heading for the fourth annual shopping week in the city, which starts today.

The organisation has worked with PR agency Umpf and An Agency Called England to promote the week-long series of events and promotions.

Katherine Busby, marketing and communications manager at Marketing Leeds, said: “We were looking for a fun and engaging online campaign to support our marketing activity for this year’s Leeds Shopping Week and our ‘Girl Receipts’ concept appeals to our target audience and has an appealing, viral element to it.”
