Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium, part of the GRA Limited group which operates five tracks across the country, has appointed PR agency Paver Smith to handle its public relations.

The appointment by the London track follows the agency’s retention by sister stadium, Belle Vue in Manchester.

A campaign to engage corporate and charity business will sit alongside brand awareness work and a strategy to encourage people to update their view of the greyhound racing experience.

Paver Smith Manchester director Denise Mullen said: “The Wimbledon track delivers a high octane night out, but what some people might not expect is the level of sophistication on offer. The track’s chef has come from The Savoy and the quality of the food would easily stand up to competition from other London eateries. Of course what the others don’t have is that amazing view.

“We’re also supporting both tracks with the work they do to raise thousands every year for the Retired Greyhound Trust which is dedicated to re-homing dogs once they reach the end of their racing career.”
