Birmingham digital agency Made Media has launched a new website for Tindal Street Press as the independent publishing company celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Tindal Street, based in Birmingham's Custard Factory, is one of the smallest publishers ever to reach the Man Booker Prize shortlist. Its new site aims to offer greater visitor interaction.

And the website can also now host video and audio content to give readers more information about its books and authors.

Tindal Street Press editor, Luke Brown, said: “We chose Made as a partner for our site redesign because of their passion and understanding for what we wanted to achieve: an elegant, colourful space for readers to engage with our writers and the exclusive content we have beyond the covers of our books."

The new site is powered by Made's Backstage content management system, which the agency said has been developed over five years with arts and cultural companies in mind.

Made account director Carl Timms said: "Our approach to this project has been to imagine an excellent independent bookshop, the kind of place where authors and readers hang out, a stylish place alive with discussion and opinion about contemporary writing – where the passion for fiction fills the room."

Earlier this month, Made announced that it had acquired fellow Birmingham agency Fireloop Creative.
