Following a three-way-pitch, Fudge has been appointed to develop and create a central online hub for digital businesses and freelancers across Bury.

The Bury Partnership and Bury Council have briefed the agency to develop Digital Bury, a website which will act as a central point of information for fledgling digital businesses in the area.

At the moment there are around 870 business located in the borough which would be able to use the site. That number is expected to continue to grow as Bury is transformed by the redevelopment schemes taking place until next year.

Once completed, the site will be regularly updated with news, events, jobs and a showcase section, alongside an online directory of digital businesses.

It will feature a publicly visible front-end, and a complex back-end system which will act as the site’s engine room.

Digital Bury is due to launch in October.
