Manchester agency Flame Digital is to open a mobile marketing division, it announced today.

Flame Mobile will be headed by Jon Beverley (right), who was previously the CEO of Scan Mobile and has 11 years' experience in the mobile sector.

Simon Edwards (left), Flame Digital's managing director, said the time is right to launch a dedicated mobile offering because "clients are increasingly asking about mobile channels".

He said: "Flame Digital has established itself as a leading creative marketing agency and building upon our previous mobile work with RRG, Intervoice and PA Sport, the launch of Flame Mobile will allow us to provide an even better service to our clients and help them take advantage of the huge opportunities the mobile platform provides."

Flame Mobile will offer consulting, creative, mobile SEO, planning and buying.

Beverley said: "Mobile solutions come in a variety of different shapes, sizes & flavours, and with Flame I know that what we’ll offer will be smart, beautiful, innovative, user-centric, and ROI-focused. Working with such a talented digital creative agency means that we can cover everything from humble SMS to sexy augmented reality applications.”
