See MediaCityUK as it's never been seen before in a new short film unveiled by Peel Media.

‘Take Note’ uses a mixture of video footage and animation to give a three-minute glimpse of what life could be like in Salford Quays from 2011.

Directed and produced by freelance 3D artist Andrew Li, the production is accompanied by three mini taster films, all of which are available to view now at www.youtube.com/officialmediacityuk. The work was commissioned following a competitive pitch process, which saw Andrew’s concept selected for its "fresh and original approach".

Bryan Gray, chairman of Peel Media, said: "We are delighted that Andrew Li and his team have produced such an evocative and inspirational piece of work, which captures the unique ethos of MediaCityUK and will appeal to audiences everywhere."

Take Note also appears on the MediaCityUK website – www.mediacityuk.co.uk – which has been launched following a redesign by the Manchester digital agency, Code Computerlove.

In addition to background facts and information about MediaCityUK, the website features a video wall which alternates between different images and footage connected to the development, and a timeline of photographs showing MediaCityUK’s site since its former life as Pier 9 of Salford Docks.

MediaCityUK’s construction activity is now at its peak, as management contractors Bovis Lend Lease prepares to hand over the first of three buildings to the BBC in the autumn, ready for them to commence technical fit out. During the coming months MediaCityUK will also welcome a new tenant, when Northwest Vision and Media move to a refurbished building opposite The Pie Factory on Broadway.
