iSLI, the Livingston based Scottish technology transfer institute has appointed Rovolver PR to handle its press and communications strategy.

The Edinburgh-based PR agency has been tasked to handle the press account following a competitive pitch.

Dr Mark Begbie, director of iSLI, explained: "We were looking for something different from our PR and Revolver came up with the goods. Any organisation that wants to run an effective press and communications strategy today has to look upon online news sites, blogs and social media services as an essential part of the mix and their demonstrable expertise in the field was a key factor in our final decision."

Iain Bruce, director for Revolver PR, added: “In addition to being one of the flagship institutions of Scotland's high-tech revolution, iSLI has an international reputation for cutting-edge electronics design and technology development. It requires a PR strategy that incorporates everything from trade journals and national business pages to online news sites, YouTube and the social media, so we're delighted to be getting our teeth into a project that will draw upon every aspect of our team's expertise."
