Maxxium UK has appointed former head of marketing for Belhaven Brewery, Gregor Mina as its new off-trade marketing manager.

Mina will oversee the Maxxium’s brands including The Famous Grouse, Courvoisier, Laphroaig and Highland Park and will be tasked to primarily providing expertise and advice for the off-trade channel to the company’s brands team. He will also work with sales to activate the company’s brand with its customers.

He will take on the role from Sian Baxter who leaves next week to begin maternity leave. Mina said: “I’m really excited about the opportunity of working with so many household name brands and helping grow the business by creating flawless execution of brand plans.”

In March, as a result of the economic downturn, Mina was made redundant by Belhaven having worked as its marketing manager since October 2007.

He joined Belhaven after two years with Norwich Union and following a three year spell with the agency Brand Ambassadors, having worked his way through a number of roles before becoming the core business director.
