The National Literacy Trust has appointed Tictoc to redevelop its website.

The Trust is an independent charity which campaigns to improve public understanding of the vital importance of literacy, as well as delivering projects and working in partnership to reach children and adults most in need of support.

They work with authors, teachers, sports stars and celebrities to encourage people to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Last year The Trust gave over over 55,000 free books to 24,000 children in disadvantaged areas across the country.

The Trust is redeveloping its website to ensure that it meets the needs of the variety of audiences who use it - including teachers, corporate supporters, parents, librarians and journalists. Head of Information at the National Literacy Trust Charlotte Foster said: “We

really felt that tictoc understood what we were trying to achieve with our digital communications - and what our aspirations are. We’re looking forward to working with them to make our website as good as it can be.”

David McGilvray, Director of tictoc added: “We’re really pleased to have won this project as we think it fits very well with our expertise in the not-for-profit and education sectors,

and will extend our knowledge into related areas. ”

Meanwhile, Tictoc has launched the website for the High School of Dundee, one of Scotland’s leading independent schools.

Catering for their external audiences, the website will target potential parents and pupils

and of course former pupils. The main drivers for the project were to provide detailed

information to those considering entry to the school for their child, and to reach out to

former pupils and friends to expand the school community. The site will also become an

essential resource for fundraising, informing visitors of the School’s High Hopes

campaign.
