Direct marketing agency TDA has taken over digital agency and fellow Cheltenham-based business V2i.

The deal sees V2i's former managing director, Adrian Gill (right), take the role of digital director at TDA and he will sit on the agency's board.

Darren James (left) becomes TDA's technical director while V2i's developers, designers and account handlers have also joined up with the agency.

Gill and James have been given the task of building on TDA's digital credentials strategically, creatively and technically as the agency looks to accelerate business growth.

TDA's chief executive, Heather Westgate, said: "Creating space at such a senior level for the dedicated digital expertise of Adrian and Darren gives us a strong foundation from which to evolve and grow our direct marketing offering.

"By acquiring V2i we have positioned digital capability – both strategic and practical – as a core component of our business. This realignment will enable us to devise and deliver direct marketing campaigns which quickly achieve return on investment.”
