Edinburgh business and residential community development Quartermile has appointed Story as its marketing communications agency.

The appointment follows a two way pitch against The Leith Agency which will see Story work on an integrated campaign to promote the Gladedale Ventures £450million development in the heart of Edinburgh.

The campaign will target down-sizers, investors and professionals.

Story created the positioning “Time to Live”, highlighting the proximity to the city, shops and countryside with no time-consuming commute and will include press and online advertising and will focus on the lifestyle benefits of living in a prestigious community.

Lorraine Paterson, sales and marketing director at Quartermile, said: “What is vital to the success of our campaign in such a challenging marketplace, is to somehow communicate the experience that’s on offer at Quartermile. It’s a thriving community on an important world heritage site in the heart of Scotland’s capital.”

Sue Mullen, managing director of Story, added: “There is a huge amount of scope for our creative team to bring together and bring to life the benefits of living and working in such a unique community. There are fewer pitch opportunities around right now, so we are pleased to win such a prestigious account in what is a very tough market.”
