Everton FC strengthens coaching online with Rippleffect

Everton FC has signed a new deal which will see Rippleffect redesign its Everton Way website as it looks strengthen its online football coaching service.

The website, which now has over 5,000 subscribers, aims to provide expert online coaching guidance and tips for both coaches and junior players and utilises the wealth of talent and knowledge from the Club's Youth Academy using video clips, diagrams and editorial.

Rippleffect has been chosen to take the site to the next level in order to further increase the subscription base, to build greater brand loyalty and in order for users to share knowledge with their peers.

As well as view techniques on the site, users will be able to directly ask the Everton coaches questions, interact with other users to share tips, advice and experience and receive all the latest information on training techniques, including new drills and coaching practices.

Everton coaching staff will also provide a regular blog, there will also be player blogs from academy graduates.

Mark Rowan, head of communications at Everton, said: “The website is a key part of our strategy to engage with a local audience on an international scale. It breaks down communication barriers as social networks, forums and blogs allow us to interact directly with our audience, answer questions and provide all the latest news, advice and guidance on training programmes, dietary requirements and mental preparation to other coaches.”

Alec Woolford, technical development director at digital agency Rippleffect, said: “This site takes online coaching to the next level. Its video footage provides in-depth information and insight into life at one of the world’s biggest football clubs.

Subscribers are a click of a button away from interacting with the world’s best coaches who are responsible for launching the careers of international players including Wayne Rooney and Leon Osman.”
