Leeds-based PR agency Finn Communications has opened an office in London which it believes will open “new opportunities”.

The office is on Oxford Street, alongside marketing agency Initials which Finn works closely with on Cadbury's and Pork Farms business.

Two of the agency's nine full-time staff will be based in London and two members of its Leeds office will work there two or three days a week.

Laura Thompson has joined the agency from Beattie Communications as a senior account manager, and will work out of London.

Thompson's appointment follows the recent arrival of Chris Bennett who joined as a senior account executive from Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger in Leeds.

A spokesperson for the agency said the new office is not being set up to exclusively service any clients in London, but will “benefit” its range of clients across the country.

Richard Rawlins (pictured), managing director of Finn, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our London office within three years of starting up the company. This is a challenging year for the industry, however we’re well placed to drive our business forward, and the opening of our London office will help to open up new opportunities.

“For all our clients, the opening of Finn London ensures the best of both worlds: proximity of account handlers in the North and the benefit of direct contact with influencers in London.”
