Glasgow based agency GRP has confirmed the depature of one of its directors, the impending departure of its creative director and three redundancies.

Michael Gibb, partner in the agency has left to concentrate on consultancy work following the loss of the Toyota account earlier in the year which he headed up.

“His contribution has been greatly valued during his ten years at GRP where he has been instrumental in nurturing and developing the Toyota account during their long and successful relationship with the agency, as well as adding his advice and experience to many other important projects," said Guy Robertson, managing partner for GRP (pictured).

"This parting of the ways has been entirely amicable with Michael remaining a director of GRA Properties."

Meanwhile, Martin Cross, creative director at the agency, will also be leaving after the summer, but the agency has said he will continue to work with it on a freelance basis from August.

Creative partner Iain Finlay will remain at the agency and will oversee the creative department.

Another three staff are also set to leave through redundancy - a part time media executive, a digital designer and a production executive.

Robertson added: “While we are obviously sad to lose valued members of staff these moves leave GRP well placed to battle the continuing recession and more importantly take advantage of the increasing opportunities as they present themselves.”

In other news the agency has also produced corporate ID, print and digital work for new commercial property investment fund Alchemist.

The agency was tasked with attracting high-worth investors by reflecting the professionalism and track record of the founder through its design work.

The agency continues to work with clients such as No 1 Magazine, Allied Surveyors, Dales Cycles, West Coast Whisky Trail, Edinburgh Festival Theatres, four Separate NHS Trusts, Highland Spring, Abica and Falkirk Council.
