A new site for The National Osteoporosis Society is to launch which aims to become a tool for teachers, parents and children to promote healthy living and strong bones.

Bones4life.org, created by Bristol based digital agency E3 will look to promote health messages to children in a fun form using games, quizzes and picture galleries, while its adult section will host a variety of resources including lesson plans and music.

As a result, E3 has developed a range of characters to bring the message of strong bones to life and represent the key elements to healthy bones. The characters live inside a healthy bone, and will aim to appeal to children with their bright outfits and entertaining personalities.

Lesley Millard, education officer for National Osteoporosis Society, explained: “We wanted to develop an engaging website to raise awareness of the need for a healthy lifestyle to build stronger bones. E3 has helped us create an interactive resource hub for both teachers and parents. The characters communicate to children the knowledge of healthy bones and the importance of a bone-healthy lifestyle.”

The site will go live this month.
