Retailer SPAR has appointed GraphicoDMG and InboxDMG as joint agencies to overhaul and implement a new digital strategy.

The two were appointed following a four way pitch to expand the client’s digital marketing plans over the next three or four years.

SPAR is keen that both consumers and staff receive communications that are on brand and cohesive, and has identified the need to develop its online strategy and delivery channels.

Following a transitional period from the previous incumbent Tibus to the new agencies, a core strategy will be configured for SPAR.

GraphicoDMG will be responsible for web creative, design and build while InboxDMG will supply digital communications, including viral and e-CRM elements, within the digital marketing programme.

Both agencies will start work immediately on identifying key proposals - these will include both customer and internal facing communications and a virtual academy - and a timetable for roll-out for specific projects within this new strategy.

Adam Margolin, UK marketing controller for SPAR, commented “We see Digital as the opportunity to broaden our marketing in a way that will offer specific and greater opportunities to reach our consumers and generate greater communication across our organisation. It will increasingly play a larger part in our over all strategy. This is just the start of the journey.”
