The Economic Solutions Group has appointed brand and digital agency Fudge to overhaul and update the technology behind its family of websites as part of an ambitious plan to entirely revamp and bring together the not-for-profit group’s online presence.

Economic Solutions is the service delivery arm of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and has commissioned Fudge on the back of a number of technically demanding projects that had demonstrated the agency’s technical aptitude.

Fudge will be charged with consolidating Economic Solutions’ commercial proposition for delivering business support services to the public, private and third sectors by enhancing accessibility and transactional capability.

The suite of websites will feature 4 ‘parent sites’, and up to 17 separate ‘child sites’. Each site will need to interact with each other to allow the group to cross-sell its comprehensive range of services. The sites will be rolled out throughout the first quarter of 2009.

Andrew Eccles, Fudge director of operations explains; “Fudge is delighted with the recognition that this project will give to our technical division. Often the technical side of what we do is overshadowed by the design, purely because how something looks can be more newsworthy than how it actually works. It was quite an unusual brief because Fudge is usually tasked with design and build, but the team were delighted to accept this new challenge!”
