Following a pitching process which involved 27 agencies over a two day period, Benenden Healthcare Society has appointed Admiral PR and Marketing to deliver its national media relations.

Admiral’s primary role will be to launch a major campaign to increase membership, and to assist in the strategic positioning of the organisation within the broader healthcare economy.

The agency will be working alongside Citigate, which has been retained to focus on Benenden Healthcare’s public affairs agenda.

This is the latest contract picked up by the agency in the last three months. Within the healthcare sector, Admiral has also been retained to provide PR support for the launch of the UK’s biggest children’s hospital, working for Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Georgie Cameron, Admiral’s managing director, said: “Focusing on our four core specialisms of healthcare, science and technology, tourism and the natural and built environment, an increasing proportion of our new business is coming from other parts of the UK.

“We will continue to concentrate on these specialisms as we work towards our aim of opening additional bases in the North West and Scotland.”
