Oxfam has awarded its digital communications account to Ipswich-based digital direct agency CheezeDMG.

The agency – part of the Digital Marketing Group – scooped the business, which includes strategy, creative, media planning and buying, search marketing and online advertising, following a four-way competitive pitch.

Cheeze’s team, overseen by Group Account Director, Jenny Eaves, will work in partnership with Oxfam’s newly created Digital Communications Team on digital direct response, online brand and message communications, and campaigning drives.

Sam Bain, Oxfam’s head of e-commerce, said: “Digital is an area of investment and focus for the entire organisation and increasingly the principal channel for our direct response campaigns. Cheeze showed us that they were the digital communications agency we were looking for to support our wide range of digital needs and help us deliver on our objectives, whilst maximising ROI on our spend.”

Matt O’Brien, MD at Cheeze added: “It goes without saying that we’re totally thrilled to have been awarded this prestigious account. The opportunities for helping Oxfam realise their digital vision for the organisation are huge and we’re really just raring to get started.”
