The Drum has learned that Scotland’s new skills body Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is set to undergo a brand review in the coming months.

The review follows the recent merger of four operations into SDS – Careers Scotland, Scottish University for Industry (Learndirect Scotland, Learndirect Scotland for Business, ILA Scotland, The Big Plus), key skills elements from Scottish Enterprise and key skills elements from Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

It is also understood that SDS has appointed London based design consultancy Uffindell West following a tender which included Scottish and English agencies.

A spokesperson for SDS confirmed the appointment of Uffindell West to the project but was unable to set a timescale for its completion.
