Bristol-based digital marketing agency True Digital has created 10 new regional recruitment sites for The Army.

Designed to support the main Army jobs site and help get more potential soldiers and officers into recruitment offices nationwide, the sites offer prospective recruits an honest, close-up view of life in the Army from people exactly like them.

True Digital founding director Carolyn Cooper explains: “While the main Army recruitment site is proving effective at answering the needs of anyone curious about the Army, these new sites will help turn that curiosity into real interest and recruitment.”

The regional sites show potential recruits how to find out more about the Army in their area through local events. They also have the chance to meet local soldiers. On the South West site, for example (www.armyjobs.mod.uk/southwest) they can get to know Lance Corporal Tim Jones from Wiltshire who joined the Army for a trade and is now in the Royal Signals. He shares his experiences of serving in Iraq.

The sites also provide information about opportunities for soldiers and officers in the TA, with details of local units and training nights.

This exercise is all about presenting the Army opportunity in a local, friendly, informal and accessible context.

The new sites galvanise interest sparked by the Army’s advertising and by their main Army jobs site into action, driving increased footfall and securing commitment.
