Following a three-way-pitch, The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has appointed Edinburgh digital agency Blonde to design the centre’s b2b website.

The pitch was managed by Sean Murray, head of event marketing at the SECC who took over his post six months ago having delivered the marketing and branding campaign for Scotland’s winning bid to host the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The agency will now work closely with the SECC’s marketing, commercial and technical teams to review the site’s information architecture and navigation, to reinterpret the SECC brand and to introduce a range of new event planning features.

Phil Adams, managing partner of Blonde, commented: “Multiple stakeholders and multiple audiences made this a juicy planning and creative challenge. Sean and the team at SECC have an ambitious vision and there are some interesting projects in the pipeline. We’re delighted to be on board.”
