Rees Bradley Hepburn has won the £1.5m London Midland account and unveiled its first creative work for the rail franchise.

RBH, along with media partner MediaVest (Manchester) was awarded the brief to raise awareness of the rail operator after a five-way pitch.

The Midlands-based agency's remit also covers the launch of several new services, including the competitive route between Birmingham and London.

RBH's first task is to promote the reintroduction of train services between the Trent Valley and London through a combination of web advertising, posters, direct mail, local and regional press and radio.

Debra Hepburn, managing director at RBH, said: "We are really excited to be working with such a vibrant, new train company - London Midland are an ambitious company with a clear view of what they stand for, our job is to bring that to life in communications.”

David Whitley, head of marketing at London Midland, added: "We’re passionate about changing perceptions of rail travel and need to work with people that have the same drive and focus as we do."
