Cuckoo Design will help people behind new ventures in need of creative support to get their ideas off the ground.

The Manchester-based agency is encouraging budding entrepreneurs to get in touch about their formative projects and throughout 2009 one idea will be selected each month to receive Cuckoo's creative support.

The recipients will meet with the team to develop a response to the brief and the agency will donate an agreed amount of time to work on the project.

Cuckoo's managing director, Justine Wright (pictured), hopes the initiative will help people lacking the know how or budget to get their ideas launched.

She said: "We hope our offer will provide that valuable impetus for people to get their ideas off the ground. We’ll be that creative catalyst providing the early attention their idea needs, establishing the solid foundations to take their project forward.”

The agency is already working with Stephen Lodge, a management and IT consultant who has developed 'Speaks4Me', a tool which will help children and adults with communication impairments to communicate effectively.

Steve Wheatley, sales director at Cuckoo who will be managing all the submissions, said: "We were recommended to Stephen whilst he was working with one of our clients, The Co-operative Bank. He came to us with an innovation that will enhance the lives of children and adults with communication impairments across the UK, Europe and worldwide. Choosing to provide him this initial support was an easy decision for Justine and I to make.”
