Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority has appointed The Big Partnership to handle its PR account.

Following the agency’s reappointment to the Scottish Government’s PR roster the agency has been briefed to handle the National Park Authority contract, one of the first briefs to be awards through the new roster.

The team servicing this account will be led by account director, Kay McCarthy.

Robyn Sheves, head of communications for the Park Authority, said: “This is an exciting time for the National Park Authority and we believe The BIG Partnership bring the necessary knowledge, experience and creativity to support our work.”

Alex Barr, director of The Big Partnership added, “The National Park is one of the jewels in the crown of Scotland’s landscape and we’re looking forward to working with the team at the National Park Authority on a wide-ranging campaign.”

The first of the briefs appointed following the new roster’s formation was appointed to The Union who were shortlisted against Barkers, The Leith Agency and Golley Slater for a breastfeeding campaign.

The campaign will run from the beginning of Breastfeeding awareness week in Mid-May.

Chrissie Fairclough, head of corporate communications for NHS Health Scotland: “It was a close call but The Union came out top based on its understanding of the attitudinal research into the target audience; the need for creativity and innovation in addressing health inequalities in breastfeeding; how the creative might be applied to materials for the NHS area health boards campaign toolkit; and how the campaign would incorporate different components – such as PR, retail partnerships, field marketing and digital marketing – to achieve reach with the target audience.”
