Guerilla Communications has appointed Claire Knight as its head of new media having joined from The Union in Edinburgh.

The Newcastle based agency has appointed Knight to head up Guerilla Interactive while also providing support for account management.

The move follows the company’s planned expansion, with a recent purchase of new property.

“We interviewed several candidates and underwent much deliberation before we selected Claire”, commented managing director James Allen. “She possesses many valuable skills and strengths – and, importantly, good experience. We feel that she can make a significant contribution to our team and are already seeing a positive impact.”

The appointment follows the 2008 recruitment of two experienced account managers, Joanne Elliott and Matthew Ellison, and Rob Palmer as website designer.
