The Scottish media has covered the story quite significantly today as a campaign by Scottish Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) launches to highlight its difference from the Royal Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The campaign, created by Hay Smith Advertising, highlights to the Scottish public that it is the SPCA they should be referred to, and the charity is running full page adverts in the Scottish press alongside online and flyer distribution through Royal Mail to highlight the difference between the two charities.

The SPCA has long requested that the RSPCA make it clear in its adverts that it only covers England and Wales, but has been accepting Scottish donations over the years.
