An exhibition dedicated to corporate events, hospitality and entertainment is to be held at the SECC in March.

The Main Event attracted over 1,000 visitors when it was held for the first time last year, aiming to show business how to make a success of their corporate dinners, conferences of parties.

Free to attend, it will be hosted by Grant Stott and will also include guest speakers an ice bar and the Tenor Incognito.

Digital Partners has now launched a flash only website for the event at the SECC.

Digital Partners' Scott Seeley said: " It was a great opportunity to design a flash based website, we typcally built standard HTML/CSS sites for QD Events like the wedding show websites, but for The Main Event we were allowed a bit of creative freedom, we kept the navigation structured to allow users easy content access and and the transition between pages keeps the site fresh, engaging and relevant with all the content controlled via the QD marketing team using our bespoke dp content management system"

Exhibitors at the Main Event will showcase the events industry – from venues and food, to lighting, staging and entertainment. A selection of companies exhibiting will include: Apex Hotels, Badaboom Bars, En Croute Catering, Go Ape, Historic Scotland, Marriott Hotels, Sound & Vision and Tents and Events.

Fran McIntyre, main event director, said: “When organising an event, the main barriers are often where to source information on venues, organisers, entertainment, transport and catering. The Main Event will answer all these questions for visitors and will show the best of what Scotland has to offer.”

The Main Event will take place at the SECC on 12 March between 9.30am – 5.30pm
