Quids in Bolton Credit Union have appointed Bolton-based brand and digital agency Fudge to create their new identity.

The challenge set by Quids in Bolton Credit Union – who are part of the Credit Union financial co-operative network and owned and controlled by its members on a not for profit basis – is to create a new identity which will work on any level, across any platform, be it online or offline. The new branding should be flexible enough to support and complement any parent brands, without suffocating them.

David Eccles, MD at Fudge, explains: “Fudge will have a responsibility to convey the importance of ‘saving’ as well as ‘borrowing’, and we will be seeking to reinforce Credit Union’s core values – of ethical, reliable, responsible, transparent, approachable and forward thinking.”

The agency has also been awarded the brief to rebuild the Bolton at Home website – the community housing and regeneration group responsible for the management of approximately 18,500 council owned properties and the neighbourhoods in which they are located.

Between 2003 and 2008, Bolton at Home invested a total of £250m in housing and environmental improvements across the borough through its five-year Capital Improvement Programme.
