Longworth joins GHD as global brand director

The UK marketing team for GHD will continue to be headed up by group marketing director Sarah Lambley, following the recent appointment of Guy Longworth as global brand director.

Lambley will now report to Longworth, but will continue to oversees international marketing planning, campaign executions and agency relationships.

As previously reported by The Drum, GHD announced that Guy Longworth has joined the business as its global brand director.

Based in California, Longworth will lead the development and execution of all aspects of all of the company’s marketing strategies and plans across its markets.

Longworth has spent the last two years as CEO of a Californian business based in San Franciso.

Longworth commented: “With the Christmas sell out, recent launch of the new brand campaign and ghd being hailed as a Coolbrand for 2009, it’s an exciting time to join the team. The energy and passion of the team is clearly evident and I’m looking forward to working with the team during the next stage of the development of the brand.”

The news comes not long after the departure of the company's group managing director, Martin Penny.
