MadeByPi, the Leeds-based digital agency, has created and launched the official website of X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke.

Sony BMG appointed the agency to design websites for each of the three X Factor finalists, and Burke's site went live as soon as she was crowned the talent show's winner.

Burke's website features tour dates, news, forums and forthcoming single and album release information, and allows the public to pre-order and download her debut single, Hallelujah, a contender for the Christmas number one.

Phil Clandillon, digital creative manager at Sony BMG, said: "The ability to answer such a high profile brief with speed, innovation and technical excellence was a prerequisite of this project.

“On the night of the final, MadeByPi was responsive and committed to the project and worked closely with our internal team to ensure a smooth and seamless launch. They also offered ongoing support, which meant that we were confident that the site could cope with the huge amount of traffic [164,000 page views in the first two days]".

Karen Lewis, account director at MadeByPi, added: "X Factor is the biggest phenomenon in the UK at the moment and to have played a part in the lead up, and the actual final night, was a real honour."
