Glasgow agency GRP has been appointed by Abica, the UK’s first mobile virtual network provider for SME’s.

The agency, which picked up the account following a four-way pitch earlier this year, has rebranded it from ABC to Abica and has now created and launched its website.

GRP has also aided the company in appointing PR agency Blueprint Media and DM company Mail Marketing Scotland as Abica underwent a ‘soft launch’ with GRP preparing a media schedule for a proper launch in January, which will include digital, press, outdoor, DM and PR activity.

GRP will also create the creative DM campaign for next year.

Meanwhile, the agency has made Colin Murchie, new business development director, and one person in the production department redundant.

Robertson explained that the move was necessary and that he would now be handling the new business drive himself.
