Visit York appoint Brahm for shopping campaign

Brahm PR has been appointed by Visit York, the city’s tourism organisation, to launch a new campaign which promotes York as Britain’s number one shopping experience.

The ‘Shop & the City’ campaign – in association with the Vivienne Westwood Boutique in York – will highlight the city’s stunning historical setting, designer stores, world-class restaurants, and luxurious hotels and spas, to demonstrate York as a shopping paradise catering for every taste. Visitors booking a ‘Shop & the City’ break will get great value hotel room rates, fantastic free gifts, an exclusive voucher booklet and mapped out shopping trails based around four different characters.

The integrated campaign will incorporate PR, design and digital activity – working with Visit York, Brahm has created four distinctive characters to promote the four shopping trails visitors can follow, a brochure to be sent to those interested in a ‘Shop & The City’ break and an emailer and webpage to promote a competition to win £1,000 of clothing from the Vivienne Westwood Boutique in York. PR activity will include press trips, competitions, features and an exclusive Vivienne Westwood bag created for journalists.

The win follows Brahm’s recent appointment to the Yorkshire Tourist Board Business Tourism PR campaign for the fourth successive year.
